The other day I was chatting with a future guest saying that I was feeling a TON of imposter syndrome doing this podcast, but I’m doing it anyway. A year ago, I almost launched a podcast when I was doing coaching for photographers. At that time I wasn’t feeling the energy that I am feeling about this one, which makes this launch all that more special!
Feeling the Weight of Imposter Syndrome
I’m so excited to introduce this podcast. I almost didn’t start it because of imposter syndrome is that wild or what? I was feeling a lot of like who am I to be teaching or talking on this subject? Who am I to just do this right? But I also had a lot of guilt and doubts about the potential of someone “catching me”. Saying something I was saying was wrong or incorrect in their eyes. Just the potential to open myself to negativity is scary in itself!
Thankfully I had a call with a good friend, Stacy Musgrave, a mindset coach. I was venting to her about how I felt a large amount of fear holding me back. I could have launched this a hot minute ago, but I was scared and I thought I wanted to let it sit and take it easy. Truth is, that was just my excuse I was hiding behind.
Why I created “The Balancing Act: Mompreneur Edition
I wanted to create this because two of my most important and most treasured roles are a mom and an entrepreneur. I love being a mom and I love being an entrepreneur. And I feel like there are so many women out there who embody both roles and understand the struggle of the juggle. So I want to be a support system for encouragement and inspiration. And be a place for just a good old-fashioned storytime because sour stories are what bring us together.
I hope this podcast can be something that you feel excited to tune into every week. And something that helps you keep your head high because you are a good mom and you are doing a great job running that business.
