When it comes to designing a website and logo for a wedding photographer, the goal isn’t just to showcase their work—it’s to convey a feeling. For Amanda, a wedding photographer, we wanted the design to feel like walking into a cozy bookstore on a rainy day. By being welcoming, intimate, and filled with stories waiting to unfold.

The Vision: Moody and Cozy

From the start, we knew we wanted the website to evoke warmth and personality, drawing visitors in and encouraging them to stay. A photographer’s website should do more than just display images; it should tell the story of their brand, their style, and their approach to capturing love stories.

We focused on a moody color palette—rich, deep tones like deep purple, wine red, and soft creams—creating an inviting, calming atmosphere. The goal was to reflect the emotion and depth captured in each wedding photo. Every visitor should feel like they’re stepping into a space where they can imagine themselves, a place where their own story is just beginning to unfold.

The Logo: Classic Yet Personal

The logo was an essential part of this cozy, bookstore-inspired brand. We wanted it to feel both timeless and personal, like a carefully curated book cover you want to hold onto for years. Combining delicate typography with subtle custom elements like a small hand-drawn accent that nods to vintage book design gave the logo an old-world charm. This blend of classic sophistication with a touch of whimsy created the perfect balance for a wedding photographer who loves to tell deeply personal and meaningful stories through their lens.

Website Design: A Storytelling Experience

The website itself needed to reflect the same mood as the logo—inviting, memorable, and full of personality. From the homepage, we ensured the visitor was greeted with stunning visuals that set the tone for the rest of the experience. Each page was designed with a sense of flow. Similar to the turning of pages in a book. Where the visitor could explore the photographer’s work, learn about their story, and easily get in touch.

The use of textured backgrounds like paper added to the cozy, tactile feel, while the photography itself took center stage. Large, bold images and subtle animations helped create an immersive experience, pulling the user deeper into the brand story.

Seamless User Experience

Navigating a wedding photographer’s website should be as easy and natural as browsing a favorite bookshop. We focused on making every step—whether it’s learning about the photographer, browsing the portfolio, or getting in touch—intuitive and smooth. Each page loads quickly, and the call-to-action buttons are strategically placed to guide potential clients without overwhelming them.

Bringing the Brand to Life

The website and logo redesign weren’t just about aesthetics. Tthey were about creating a cohesive brand identity that would resonate with clients on a deeper level. We wanted every element to work together to build a sense of trust and connection. The moody color palette, cozy atmosphere, and sophisticated typography all came together to make the website feel like an experience. Not just a place to get information.
