Going into 2025 I think there has been such an obvious shift in the industry, so much that it has all wedding industry professionals out here asking “what’s going on” and just hoping you’re not alone.
But I got greaattt news for ya, if you’re like ok what can I do now that my future self will thank me for… keep reading!
Whether you’re a wedding planner, photographer, hairstylist, florist, or venue owner, 2025 is your year to stop doing what drains your energy, confuses your dream clients, and holds your business back.
1. Stop hiding your prices ( tired of hearing this one?)
Are you reading this and rolling your eyes? Thinking “I have a strategy” or that “you want to get them in your inbox or on the phone before you tell them numbers”. Here’s why doing this is not helping ya… this next wave of clients want transparency…
I am willing to bet a pretty darn penny that you’re loosing people when you aren’t giving them at least a starting point!!!! The old methods that used to work, no longer work now!
This new wave of couples are TIRED of digging deep to find basic info!!! So give it to them straight, that way at minimum they know what the ballpark is!
And the benefit for you is having serious inquiries, no more of the shoppers or those not actually trying to book you.
PSSS….Google also loves clarity. A clearly structured services page with pricing info helps with visibility, trust, and conversions.
2. Stop offering too many services with no clear direction
If you’re a florist… who also does stationery… and some coordination… and occasionally builds an arch? Aren’t you even confused yourself??? If you’re not clear on what you do, your clients aren’t either.
My not so unpopular opinion that people like to say is unpopular is: NICHE DOWN. Have a focus, be so damn sure of your message, KNOW your audience, and freaking SLAY.
From personal experience as a designer who was also a consultant….and a podcaster…and did workflows it was hella confusing for me to sell when I was selling… well everything.
Simplify. Specialize. You don’t have to do everything to be valuable. Pick what lights you up and serves your dream clients best. Build authority in that lane.
When people know exactly what you do, and who it’s for, they book faster and refer you more.
Ps. I see a lot of wedding industry professionals sturggle with picking up side gigs and sessions that aren’t what their niche is. The thing is, you can continue to do those, but if that’s not what you want to be known for then don’t post about it! Keep your focus to your niche!

3. Stop DIY-ing your brand (again)
Now, I’m not saying this to turn you away from a rebrand if that’s what you need, but hire someone!! ( hi I could be that someone for you.. muah!) The issue with the constant “hey we have rebranded” post is that you’re inconsistent.
The constant tweaking is confusing you and them.
Invest in a brand that reflects your professionalism and personality. A strategic logo, thoughtful messaging, and a clear aesthetic builds trust instantly. And helps you stand out in a saturated industry.
Once you invest in the clairty of a re-brand you will know how to leverage your business and be so clear on your message.
I say this with the most amount of love as I can <3
4. Stop trying to speak to “everyone getting married”
The issue with this is you bring in clients who dont value what you offer. And that leads to nobody having a good time.
Talk to your people. The “we want a wow experience” couple. The one who values communication, trust, and aesthetic.
So instead of saying things like: “Serving all couples.”
Say this: “For the couple who wants more than just a wedding day, they want a beautifully seamless experience from start to finish.”
Tbh that’s even generic, be so darn on point!

5. Stop neglecting your website… I’M BEGGING YOU
Here’s the thing, I’ve seen wedding industry professionals without a fully custom website… Yes. It’s possible, and happens.
But what’s to keep in mind what happens when you do go all in with your website. It opens up doors. Creates room to move within your business the way you want to.
That could mean finally limiting availibility because you upped your pricing.
It could mean being able to finally support an employee.
Being able to make choices becuase your site is supporting inquiries flowing in.
If your website doesn’t reflect your current offers, pricing, or brand. It’s collecting digital dust, and not converting. In fact if it’s no updated, on brand, and essentially your hardest-working employee…. she need’s an update!
As a website designer I know the importance of this step in your business so I got you from bite-sized websites to fully custom! (view your options here)
But back to what I was saying, It’s time to treat it like the sales tool it is. Optimize for mobile. (y’all please please don’t neglect your mobile!!) Make your services clear. Guide people to take action.
Need help? (Hi, it’s me. I do that. 😎)
6. Stop saying yes to clients who cross your boundaries
THIS IS THE YEAR. The year where no is a full sentence. Like no joke how many times have we said yes out of fear????? Here’s the deal boundaries not only protect you, but also give clients a CLEAR understanding of what to expect!
Tbh they might even thank you for it… and oh I KNOW you will thank you for it.
Boundaries don’t make you “difficult” they make your business sustainable. Revisit your contracts. Automate communication. Stick to your process. Trust that the right clients will respect it.
We’re no longer chasing and begging over here xoxo.
7. Stop undervaluing your experience as wedding industry professionals
If you’re pricing for time, not value. Or worse….you’re undercharging out of fear. I get it, but we’re putting an end to that nonsesne…okay? ok?!
Know where you stand and allow your rates to relect what you’re actually delivering.
Which is expertise, professionalism, peace of mind.
You’ve managed timelines, fixed disasters, created magic, and made people feel seen. That’s not “just” a service. That’s a transformation.
8. Stop putting off the pivot
In case you’re reading this thinking nahhhh… I want you to lean into this even more.
Because right now, something in your business feels heavy… but you’re scared to change. I get it, I really do. In moments like this you get to make a decision.
Will you stay where you are? Or grow through the fear?
If you’ve outgrown an offer, a niche, a process, or a whole business model, you don’t have to wait until burnout. Pivoting doesn’t mean you failed. It means you’re growing.
I started out as a wedding industry professional when i was just 15 and since then I’ve changed my mind, business, all things countless times. But the biggest pivot I made reccently was I downsized my own business in 2024 and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. (Want the proof? Read this post about how a two-bedroom house changed everything.)
But now is your moment. Now is actually the perfect time to take action.
